✨ Definition of Descriptive Text :

Descriptive text is a kind of text that explain about whether an object or a person is like, whether its form, its properties, its amount, and others. The purpose of the descriptive text is to describe, represent or to reveal an object or a person, either abstract or concrete.

✨ Components of Descriptive Text :

📌 Specific participant: a certain object. For example: Borobudur temple, my pets, Indrayanti beach, uncle Joe.
📌 The use of an adjective to clarify the noun. For example: a famous temple, a clever pet, the beautiful beach in Yogyakarta.
📌 Action verb: verbs that show an activity. For example: run, walk, eat, bark, etc.
📌 The use of the simple present tense, because it tells the fact of the objects description.

✨ Example of Descriptive Text

I have a dog as my pet. His name is Dino. Dino is a chihua-hua dog. He is small and his fur is so soft. He has sharp teeth but he never bites me. He is so smart, loyal, and cute. I really love to play with him. When I'm sad or when I'm in a bad mood, he recognizes it and comes to cuddle me. Dino is my best pet.
